Passed by Congress in 2020, The FAFSA Simplification Act marks a major overhaul of the processes 和 systems used to award federal student aid (such as the Pell Grant). This overhaul makes significant changes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, the calculations used to determine eligibility for Federal Aid programs, 和 even the terminology we use to explain it all.

- The 24/25 FAFSA is now live.
- Federal Student Aid (FSA) will be updated tables in the FAFSA application to account for inflationary adjustments as required under the law to ensure students receive all aid they are entitled to.
- Institutions have been told they will not be able to see applications until sometime during the first half of March (this could change).
- It could take weeks for all FAFSA information to get to schools once delivery begins.
